Seth DeStefan, Senior Policy Outreach Director for the West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy, talks about the changes that are coming to SNAP starting October 1st. He brought up that everyone benefits from SNAP even tho they may not know it... SNAP is the reason grocery stores remain open for everyone so they can get their food. He also talks about the work requirement and that there are places in West Virginia that if someone, like a coal miner, loses their job there may not be anywhere in the area where they can meet the 20-hour a week requirement to keep SNAP.
