In their first game after a nine-day layoff, the Doddridge County Bulldogs (14-1) displayed no signs of rust, securing a dominant 80-54 win over Pendleton County. Head coach Paul Burnside credited the team's high-energy start to a defensive effort that fueled their fast-paced transition game, marking the third consecutive contest in which the Bulldogs reached the 80-point threshold. The victory was a balanced offensive clinic, with five players scoring in double digits: Jerod Trent (15), Maddox Jones (13), and Landon Thomas, Malachi Kelley, and Jaden Solomon, who contributed 12 points each. Despite a standout 35-point performance from Pendleton County’s Chase Owens, Doddridge’s depth and rebounding proved overwhelming. With this win, Doddridge County becomes one of the first teams in the state to reach 14 wins as they head into a challenging stretch of the schedule featuring matchups against Logan and Petersburg.
