Midland Trail is coming off its best season since 2018, but the Patriots will have a much different look in 2026.
Trail finished 10-2 last season and earned a Class AA playoff victory over Petersburg, continuing the program's steady progression under head coach Jeremy Moore.
Now comes the challenge of replacing a senior class of 20 players. Midland Trail returns just one offensive starter and no starting offensive linemen, creating opportunities for a new generation of Patriots to step into major roles.
Senior Brody Jones headlines the returning group after recording six interceptions last season. He'll take on an expanded role on offense while continuing to lead the secondary.
The Patriots will also turn to freshman quarterback Jeremy Shockey after Rayce Dickerson was injured in an offseason accident. Shockey impressed throughout 7-on-7 competition and will be tasked with leading a completely rebuilt offense.
With six playoff teams on the schedule, Midland Trail will be tested as it looks to build on a breakthrough 10-win campaign.
Hear from Moore and Jones as the Patriots discuss replacing a large senior class, developing their young roster and continuing the winning standard established in 2025.
