After a state runner-up finish in 2023, the Greenbrier West football team is focused on a major rebound for the 2025 season. An injury-riddled 2024 campaign led to a 5-5 record, snapping the school's five-year streak of playoff appearances. With a renewed emphasis on conditioning, the Cavaliers are preparing for a return to form under head coach Kelly Vaughan. The team will have a new quarterback, with junior Scott McClung and sophomore Mason Ward competing for the starting role. While the quarterback position is new, the offense returns its top two senior receivers, Kamden Sams and the versatile Colton Dunbar, and will be anchored by a solid line led by four-year starter Logan Berry. Highly motivated to restore their winning tradition, the team is driven by high expectations and the goal of defending their formidable home field in Charmco.
