n a rematch of last year's state championship, Wheeling Park defeated Morgantown 55-45. The Patriots used a 14-3 run in the second quarter to build a lead they wouldn't surrender. Alexis Bordas, Duquesne signee and reigning state player of the year, led all scorers with 32 points for Wheeling Park, while Maggie Hupp added 15. Morgantown was led by sophomore guard Kayli Kellogg with 18 points. Senior and UMBC signee Sadaya Jones did not play for Morgantown due to illness. Despite the win, Wheeling Park coach Ryan Young acknowledged Morgantown's talent and expects them to be a different team when Jones returns.
