Season 3, Episode 5

Sports
Wheeling Central, the top seed in Class AA, defeated No. 4 Wyoming East 10-0 in six innings in a state semifinal game at GoMart Ballpark. The game was a pitching duel early on between Wheeling Central's Brayden Cover and Wyoming East's Jaeden Lester.
Wheeling Central finally broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring two runs due to a throwing error and aggressive baserunning. They extended their lead to 4-0 in the fifth. Brayden Cover pitched a dominant game for Central, allowing only one hit, striking out 14, and maintaining a shutout. Wyoming East struggled to put the ball in play against Cover and couldn't capitalize on their few opportunities.
Wheeling Central then exploded for six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, ending the game early via the 10-run mercy rule. Highlights of the sixth included an inside-the-park home run by Luke Tiu and a two-run double by Brady Ernest. With the win, Wheeling Central advances to the Class AA state championship game.
