Morgantown High School defeated University High School 4-1 in the first game of the Class AAAA Region I, Section 2 baseball tournament. After trailing 1-0, Morgantown scored three runs in the fifth inning thanks to hits from Mason Bowers and Koa Silvers, and a throwing error. Morgantown pitcher Vincent Aloi had a strong performance, allowing only one run on five hits in a complete game. Morgantown added another run in the sixth. University will now play Preston in an elimination game, with the winner facing Morgantown in the sectional championship.
